Sharon couldn't possibly get everything done in just one year. She have way too much planned for The Atlanta Chapter of The Empire Board. She and EBR's mission is Re-imagining the Dream of Home ownership through Advocacy, Activism and Action.
Sharon, hit the ground running with updating the exterior and interior image of the Empire Board's office building.
With the assistance of (Global Paint for Charity) and 80 volunteers armed with paint brushes, rollers and Roller Handles, blue tapes, trays and some paint to beautify the Empire Board of Realtists building on a Saturday. The Volunteers spent the first half of the day painting the exterior and interior of the Empire Boards building.
“Under the leadership of 2016 president Sharon Henry, this organization is honoring its rich 77-year history and fulfilling its mission of reimagining the dream of homeownership through advocacy, activism and action,” she said in a statement.
Henry said her presidency is focused on revitalizing and reinvigorating the organization on a local level.
“As long as there is injustice and inequality in the realm of homeownership there will be a need for Empire and NAREB,” says Henry. “And when equality has been achieved, the objective will then shift from obtaining to maintaining democracy.”
On Jan. 1, Henry began serving her one-year term, which ends Dec. 31. She says her presidency is primarily focused on revitalizing and reinvigorating the organization on a local level.
